Argentina’s president’s effort to collect aid for Ukraine
The president of Argentina plans to hold a summit of Latin American countries to support Ukraine. |
Argentine President Javier Milli said he plans to hold a meeting with Latin American leaders to discuss ways to support Ukraine in 2024.
According to the report of the Financial Times newspaper, Mili’s policy towards Ukraine is different from the neutral position of important countries in the region such as Brazil and Mexico.
The newspaper confirmed that Milli prioritizes alliances with countries it claims defend freedom, including the United States, Ukraine and the Zionist regime, which has provided them with two Russian-made military helicopters.
At the end of last year, Javier Milli won the presidential election of Argentina and said in his election campaign that he intends to focus on the US and the Zionist regime in foreign policy and called for the rejection of cooperation with China, Brazil and Russia.
The country’s new authorities have also abandoned the planned joining of the BRICS group from January 1, 2024, but Milli has softened some of his positions after taking office.
On the other hand, Dmitry Feuktistov, the Russian ambassador in Buenos Aires, said in a previous interview with Novosti that the representatives of the Argentine presidential government have expressed their readiness for mutually beneficial interaction with Russia in personal communications.
