The will of the American soldier who set himself on fire: Spread my ashes in free Palestine

The 25-year-old American soldier, who set himself on fire in protest of the Gaza genocide, had wished for the liberation of Palestine in his will.

Aron Bushnell, a 25-year-old American soldier who set himself on fire in front of the Tel Aviv embassy in Washington in protest of the country’s complicity with Israel’s genocide in Gaza, wished in his will that Palestine be released.

If the time comes when the Palestinians take control of their land again, I would like my ashes to be scattered in a free Palestine,” said the young American Air Force member who set himself on fire last week.

According to media reports, this member of the US Air Force wrote in his will that “I apologize to my brother and my friends for leaving you like this. Of course, if I was really sorry, I wouldn’t do this. But this machine needs blood. None of this is fair”.

The will states that “I wish my remains to be cremated.” I don’t want my ashes or my remains to be buried because my body does not belong anywhere in this world.” He added: “If the time comes when the Palestinians take control of their land again and the indigenous people of this land with this idea. If they agree, I would like my ashes to be spread in free Palestine”.

Bushnell, who was a specialist in cyber defense operations in the 531st Intelligence Support Squadron of the US Air Force, set himself on fire on March 7th in support of the Palestinian people.

Saying that “I don’t want to be an accomplice of this genocide (in Gaza) anymore”, he condemned the positions of the American government and its assistance to Israel in this war, and before his death he said: “Free Palestine”. /p>
