WFP: Famine lurks in northern Gaza

Famine is lurking in northern Gaza, as the region has received only a small amount of aid in recent weeks, the World Food Program said on Saturday.
The World Food Program emphasized in its statement today that about 300,000 people in this region live with very little food or clean water.
The spokesman of the Ministry of Health of the Gaza Strip stated in a conversation with the Al Jazeera network: The Zionist occupation has launched a new war against the residents of the Gaza Strip called the hunger war.
He added: The number of Palestinian citizens who die due to hunger is increasing. Palestinian children constitute a significant part of these martyrs. This Palestinian official added: Children who are hospitalized in the intensive care unit are at risk of dying from starvation.
