Dmitry Polyansky, Russia’s first deputy permanent representative to the United Nations, announced in a post on X Saturday that the plan on how to bomb the Crimean bridge, which is said to have been discussed by high-ranking German military officers, is a complete scandal for Germany.
A transcript of a leaked audio file dated February 19, released on social media on Friday by Margarita Simonyan, editor of the Rossiya Segodnya media group and RT TV channel, allegedly revealed a 40-minute conversation between the four. In this audio file, German officials in the Bundeswehr – the headquarters of the German armed forces – discussed the possibility of targeting the Crimean bridge with Taurus missiles from a Dassault Rafale fighter jet.
Polyansky reacted to this leaked file by describing Germany as “deceitful, vile, aggressive, malicious and Russophobic”.
He emphasized: This is no longer the country with which we signed friendly treaties in the 1990s and 2000s.
Meanwhile, Berlin reacted to the revelation of a conversation between German generals who discussed helping Ukraine attack Russia, announcing that it has launched an investigation into how the conversation was leaked.
