The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia announced today (Sunday), Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galozin and China’s Special Representative for Eurasian Affairs Li Hui said that it is not possible without Discuss Moscow’s participation in the settlement of Ukraine.

According to the Reuters news agency, the Chinese envoy met Galozin on his second trip to Europe to emphasize the political settlement of the Ukraine crisis. His tour includes a trip to Poland, Ukraine and Germany.

The Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement published on its website: “There was a very dynamic and thorough exchange of views on the issue of the Ukraine crisis.”

The statement said: “These diplomats noted that the ultimatums presented to Russia by Kiev and the West and the dialogue formats related to them only harm the prospect of a solution and cannot be the basis for it.” During this consultation, it was emphasized that any discussion about a political and diplomatic solution is impossible without the participation of Russia and taking into account the interests of this country in the field of security.

Russia launched its “special military operation” against Ukraine in February 2022, focusing on “denazification”. Kiev and its Western allies, who are not talking about peace talks and fanning the flames of war, want the complete withdrawal of Russian forces from the territory of Ukraine, but the Kremlin insists that Kiev must accept the new realities.

On the battlefield, Kiev has practically achieved nothing in its counterattack, and when its allies, especially the United States, could not provide sufficient and timely weapons, ammunition, and financial resources, the war is not progressing in its favor. In the latest developments, Russia has captured an important city called Avdiyka in Donbas, and Ukrainian forces have retreated from around it.

Earlier, the American newspaper “Wall Street Journal” claimed a “disclosure” about the details of the draft of a peace agreement that took place shortly after the start of the war in February 2022 between Russia and Ukraine, and wrote in this regard that the “neutral” situation For Ukraine, it was one of the concessions that Moscow requested in this agreement. In the end, this draft did not come to fruition.

This American publication claimed that the 17-page draft was filed on April 15, 2022, and also gave Ukraine the privilege to follow the path of membership in the European Union, but banned Kiev from the path of NATO membership. . Also, according to this document, a limited size was determined for the Ukrainian army, the entry of foreign weapons into this country was prohibited, and the Crimean peninsula was considered under the unofficial control of Russia.

The Wall Street Journal wrote that, in recent weeks, as the forces of the Kiev army have weakened, Russian President Vladimir Putin has publicly spoken of his welcome to negotiations to end the war in Ukraine “on Moscow’s terms”. Citing the terms of the April 2022 draft, about six weeks after the start of the war, this publication writes that the document “reveals the kind of agreement that Putin was looking for at the time.”
