Tens of thousands of Americans called for a ceasefire in Gaza

The website of the American newspaper Daily News wrote last night local time: thousands of protesters protested against the bombing of Gaza by Israel in Manhattan, New York and demanded a ceasefire.
These protests, which its organizers named “International Day of Action”, started at around 1:00 in the afternoon in Washington Square Park, and despite the rain, the number of participants increased every moment.
Many protesters marched towards 6th Street around 3:00 PM accompanied by police officers.
According to the Los Angeles Times, thousands of pro-Palestinian demonstrators also marched in downtown Los Angeles.
The demonstrators gathered in front of the municipal building around one o’clock in the afternoon, waving Palestinian flags and writing in support of the Palestinians.
As the march began, participants chanted and held placards that read: “Stop the genocide,” “Free the 2 million hostages in Gaza,” and “Cease fire now.”
Some participants estimated that tens of thousands of people participated in this march.
Similar demonstrations were also held in other major American cities, including Washington, San Francisco and Seattle.
