Ukraine’s troubles for its allies; Slovakia does not have an air defense system
The prime minister of Slovakia said that due to the support of Ukraine, this country currently lacks an air defense system. |
According to Webangah News quoted by Mehr News Agency Quoting Rashatudi, the Prime Minister of Slovakia said that he expressed concern about the departure of the Italian air defense system from this country.
Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico announced on Sunday that the government of Rome plans to withdraw its air defense system from Slovakia.
The Prime Minister of Slovakia added further: I received a notification from the Italian government that the Italian air defense system, which was loaned to us for a year , will leave Slovakia, because they need it elsewhere.
Fico expressed concern about Slovakia’s security after the withdrawal of the Italian air defense system, saying that Slovakia currently has no alternative to protect its airspace.
The prime minister of Slovakia added that the previous government donated a Russian S-300 air defense system to Ukraine. After that, the American patriots were replaced for a while, then the patriots were transferred to Ukraine, and now the Italian system is also being removed from Slovakia.
The Italian air defense system was temporarily deployed in Slovakia last year to replace the US Patriot anti-aircraft system, which Slovakia had transferred to Ukraine.
