Grossi’s claim about stopping the implementation of the March 4 statement

The Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, repeating political claims about our country's nuclear program, claimed that the process of implementing the agreement known as the March 4 statement has been stopped.

The director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency, repeating political claims about our country’s peaceful nuclear program, claimed that the process of implementing the agreement with Iran to resolve safeguards issues known as the March 4 statement has been stopped.

Raphael Grossi, speaking at the opening of the quarterly meeting of the Board of Governors, claimed that no progress has been made in resolving the remaining safeguard issues. Iran has not provided the Agency with credible technical explanations for the presence of man-made uranium particles in Varamin and Torquzabad, or informed the Agency of the current location(s) of nuclear material and/or contaminated equipment.

Ignoring the extensive cooperation between Iran and the IAEA, he claimed: the remaining safeguards issues must be resolved so that the IAEA is in a position to guarantee that Iran’s nuclear program is exclusively peaceful.

The Director General of the Agency then claimed: I am seriously concerned that Iran has unilaterally stopped the implementation of the joint statement (March 4) and this raises doubts that Iran will stick to what we have agreed.

It should be said that Manani’s claims about Iran’s nuclear activities are rooted in the fake documents of the Zionist regime, which are provided to the media and agency officials with the aim of securing Iran’s nuclear file. So much so that Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of the Zionist regime, four years ago, following the withdrawal of the United States from the JCPOA, claimed to have discovered atomic remains in undeclared places in Iran, and the story was fueled by the media.

The Islamic Republic of Iran, while rejecting the claims, has always emphasized that the obligations of the countries in the field of protection are not unlimited; However, in March of last year, during the two-day trip of Rafael Grossi to Tehran, he voluntarily agreed with the verification activities and further supervision of the inspectors of this organization, within the framework of the strategic law of the parliament (the law of strategic action to cancel sanctions and protect the interests of the Iranian nation). did.

Following this agreement, expert-level meetings were held and with the interactions conducted since the beginning of this year, several technical issues between Iran and the Agency were resolved.

The Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency expressed his regret about the cancellation of the license of a number of inspectors of this organization by Iran, which took place within the framework of the Comprehensive Safeguard Agreement, and said: Only through constructive and meaningful interaction can (safeguard) concerns be addressed and burden I ask Iran to fully and unambiguously cooperate with the agency.

The Islamic Republic of Iran canceled the authorization of 8 German and French inspectors of this international organization in Iran after issuing an anti-Iranian statement in the Board of Governors of the Atomic Energy Agency last September. In this connection, the three countries of France, Germany and England claimed on 21 September and on the sidelines of the quarterly meeting of the International Atomic Energy Agency’s Board of Governors that Iran did not adhere to the commitments of the joint statement with the International Atomic Energy Agency last March.

The Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency announced in a statement on 25 September that Iran has canceled the activities of several experienced inspectors of the International Atomic Energy Agency. He declared: “These inspectors are among the most experienced experts of the agency with unique knowledge in enrichment technology. They have conducted essential verification activities at Iran’s enrichment facilities that are under IAEA safeguards, and with today’s decision, Iran has effectively removed one-third of the most experienced group of IAEA inspectors assigned to Iran.”

In response to this statement, Nasser Kanani, the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated: Iran’s recent action was based on the sovereign rights stipulated in Article 9 of the Comprehensive Safeguard Agreement between Iran and the IAEA, and the Islamic Republic of Iran expects that Western countries will abuse the policy. Avoid international organizations, including the International Atomic Energy Agency, and allow these organizations to carry out their professional and impartial activities away from political pressure.

The quarterly meeting of the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency started this morning (Monday) with the presence of representatives of 35 member countries of this council in Vienna and continues until Friday.
