report Mehr News, the President of Turkey announced on Monday in a televised interview that Ankara will fully resolve the border dispute with Baghdad next summer.
Sputnik reported that Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, referring to the construction of a border wall known as a security belt on the borders of Turkey and Iraq, added: This country intends to project creating a security line at a depth of 30 kilometers (in northern Syria), to complete step by step to support the borders of Turkey.
It should be said Turkey has about 20 military bases in Erbil and Dohuk provinces of Iraq. The length of common borders are located from Khabour Pass to Soran region. Bashiqa base is the largest Turkish base in northern Iraq, and every now and then the Turkish army violates the territorial sovereignty of Iraq and causes tension between the two countries.
