New studies in one of the medical centers of the Zionist regime indicate a 35% increase in the incidence of heart problems since October 7.

A new study conducted by the cardiac intensive care unit at a medical center in the occupied city of Quds and published this week indicates a significant increase in the number of heart disease cases in the occupied territories, especially serious and emergency cases that this unit handles in He received the first three months of the war in Gaza.

This study also found a significant increase in the number of heart disease cases in the occupied territories, especially critical cases, among the population, both men and women, compared to a decrease in the number of cases requiring hospitalization among the Arab population. While nearly 100 cases of critical heart attacks were treated during the months of war, only 63 occurred during the same period last year, a 35 percent increase.

During the war, 295 patients were treated compared to 261 patients during the same period of the previous year. This study also shows a significant decrease of about 9 percent in the number of Arab residents from East Jerusalem who came to this city for treatment during the war compared to the same period last year.

In the same way, Professor Elad Asher, director of the intensive care department of the heart at this health center, explained: “We clearly see the effects of wartime on people.” The stress and anxiety that we felt and still feel are strong factors in causing serious heart diseases.

The significant increase in cardiac cases among the Zionist population indicates the stress of the war, while the decrease in cases among the Arab population can be explained by moving away from hospitals in the western part of the city and going to hospitals in the eastern part.
