Kabul: Afghan refugees have no role in Pakistan’s insecurity
The political deputy of the prime minister of the Taliban government emphasized in the meeting with the UN officials in Kabul that Afghan refugees have no role in Pakistan's insecurity. |
Maulvi Abdul Kabir, Political Deputy Prime Minister of the Taliban government, met and talked with Kyung Jun, the head of Asia and the Pacific of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, and Leonard Zulu, the head of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Afghanistan.
Criticizing the performance of the Islamabad government, he said that Afghan refugees do not play a role in Pakistan’s insecurity, but they still face many problems and are imprisoned.
Abdul Kabir added that the international community should not forget the people of Afghanistan. All refugees returning to Afghanistan should be helped to integrate into the society.
Kyung Joon also said in this meeting that he will demand more help for Afghan refugees at the Geneva meeting. Refugees live in difficult conditions, drought and natural disasters threaten their lives.
The political deputy of the prime minister of the Taliban government also stated that hunger, poverty and unemployment have been inherited from the previous government, and its elimination requires more time and facilities.
Referring to the Qatar meeting, Maulvi Abdul Kabir pointed out that the recent Doha meeting did not pay attention to the issue of refugees and the facts of Afghanistan, and even the Secretary General of the United Nations did not comment on aid to this country.
