The mirage of the European Union in front of Armenia

According to the international group Tasnim news agency, the growing tension in the relations between Armenia and Russia, intertwined with the increasingly bold and reckless behavior of the Prime Minister of Armenia, have logically not left the eyes of the Kremlin.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov announced at the Antalya Diplomacy Forum that the interaction Russia and Armenia are currently torn apart.

Lavrov also warned Armenia that the anti-Russian actions of the Pashinyan government could have dire consequences for the republic in the future.

We can talk for hours about the talks of Sergey Lavrov and the deteriorating relations between Moscow and Yerevan, but the point that should be taken into account behind the political debates and arguments is Armenia’s excessive dependence on Russia and excessive influence The most important dependence of Armenia on Russia should be sought in the economic structures of this country, where the economy, energy and many Other cases in this area, due to the lack of any alternative, are too dependent on the Russian trade and economy.

In the continuation of the process of creating tension between Yerevan and Moscow, the country on which Armenia’s economy depends. As well as the Kremlin’s political and military provocation, Pashinyan and his partners are not only shooting themselves in the foot, but also shooting themselves in the head. Trying to get closer to the European structures, watching the daily efforts of the European Union to cut off and separate the Armenian economy from Russia is quite spectacular. In this context, it was just a few days ago and at the end of February (March 1402) that the European Union proposed a cooperation plan with Armenia, including three parts, for discussion in the European Parliament.

• Strengthening “Armenia’s resistance”, diversifying the country’s economy through “expanding cooperation in trade, energy and aviation security” as well as discussing the liberalization of visas for citizens of this country.

Statements about diversifying Armenia’s economy and trade and cooperating more with Europe seem very unusual because the industrial and manufacturing infrastructure of Armenians is more underdeveloped than it is believed. One should ask: Armenians have a relative advantage in the production of which product to offer and export to Europe?

Let’s skip it, the next product is the production of mineral water, which does not seem to be a necessary product for export at the moment. According to these conditions, there is currently no other product or service on the scale of creating a business relationship in Armenia that can be exported.

On the other hand, Armenia produces enough electricity for export. does not. Considering the current needs of the household sector and the growing need of this country in the industry sector, it is hard to imagine that electricity production in this country has been commercialized to the extent that it can be exported to European countries.

But as for the visa regime, this option is quite possible. It is worth noting that in recent years, the amount of migration from Armenia to Europe has increased significantly, and this trend is predictable due to the events that are going on in Armenia and the strength of the Armenian diaspora in Europe, the migration of Armenian citizens to Europe is predictable. .

• Development of dialogue on foreign policy, security issues, as well as “the possibility of Armenia’s participation in EU missions and operations”.

Regarding this section, the involvement of Armenian military personnel in various European Union missions cannot be ruled out. Armenians are currently participating in joint NATO exercises. This gives the current leadership of Armenia a reason to feel proud. Pashinyan’s party considers this cooperation as a serious victory against Moscow and provides the basis for repeating this cooperation as much as possible. It will not affect especially against Azerbaijan. This is while the European Union countries will get extra “meat” in the term. This means that they can use the military forces of countries such as Armenia in some operations that do not want to endanger the lives of their military personnel.

• Increasing investment in the economy Armenia and “supporting the participation of this country in the project of electricity transmission lines through the Black Sea”. More than 90% depends on the trade and transit of goods with the Russian Federation, and considering these conditions, it is very strange to talk about any investment.

  Talking about power transmission lines in the deep sea Siah, which was shut down in the early stages and Armenia’s participation was not mentioned in its initial plan, seems to be a future sale to the authorities of this country by the European governments.

  Therefore, All these initiatives presented by the European Union are mainly designed to deceive the Armenians, which will not result in any general and operational plan, but considering the political, security and military conditions and planning for the greater separation of this country from Russia and Iran, there will be consequences. It will lead to a dangerous possibility for all Armenians.
