Canada resumes aid to UNRWA
The Canadian government, which had suspended aid to the Palestinian Refugee Agency based on the claim of the Zionist regime, announced the cancellation of this decision. |
According to a senior Canadian government official, the country is resuming aid to UNRWA and plans to announce new amounts in addition to the previously planned budget.
According to Al Jazeera, this informed source, whose name has not been revealed, says that the United Nations has conducted an investigation into the Zionist regime’s claims against UNRWA, and based on the temporary results of this investigation, which have been received by the Canadian government, this country will “resume assistance” no problem”.
Before this, in January, the Zionist regime claimed that 12 employees of the Palestinian Refugee Agency, which belongs to the United Nations, were involved in the October 7 attacks. After this claim, many countries, including Canada, suspended aid to this agency.
UNRWA had announced at that time that the Zionist regime could not provide evidence for its claim.
It should be said that UNRWA provides educational, health and shelter facilities for Palestinians who are displaced within their own land or in other countries such as Jordan, Lebanon and Syria. The Zionist regime has been seeking to reduce the budget of this agency for a long time.
