Kirby: American soldiers are not fighting in Ukraine
A White House official assured that Washington will not send military forces to Ukraine. |
John Kirby, the strategic communications coordinator of the White House National Security Council, once again emphasized that Washington has no intention of sending military forces to Ukraine.
Kirbi said regarding French President Emmanuel Macron’s request to NATO members to send troops to Ukraine: American soldiers are not fighting in Ukraine.
Previously, the president of France asked NATO allies to send part of their military forces to Ukraine, which was opposed by most NATO members, except for a number of Eastern European countries, including Estonia.
Meanwhile, Russian officials, in response to this proposal, considered sending NATO forces to Ukraine as NATO’s direct involvement in the war and warned about the possibility of this war becoming a nuclear war.
