If presidential elections are held, Zelensky will lose

Polls show that if presidential elections are held in Ukraine, the current president of this country will not win.

According to a survey of a political sociology company in Ukraine, if presidential elections are held in this country, Volodymyr Zelensky can only win 23.7 votes.

According to RT, this survey predicts that in the event of elections, “Valery Zalogeny”, the commander of the armed forces, who was recently dismissed, will win 41% of the people’s votes and surpass Zelensky.

According to the prediction of this company, if the second round of elections is held, Zalogeny and Zelensky will get 67% and 32% of the people’s votes, respectively.

Also, if parliamentary elections are held, Zelensky’s party can only win 21.1% of the seats; If the hypothetical party of Zalogeni will be able to take over 46.4 percent of the seats.

Zelensky last month fired Zalogeny, who was serving as head of the armed forces. In an article for CNN, while pointing out his disappointment with the current situation of Ukraine vis-à-vis Russia, Zalogeny highlighted the inability of Kyiv government institutions to improve the level of human resources of the armed forces.

Zalogeny’s dismissal has been criticized by some, including the mayor of Kyiv.

It should be said that the spring of 2024 is the date for the presidential and parliamentary elections of Ukraine, but Zelensky has announced that no elections will be held in Ukraine this year under the pretext of martial law and the state of war.
