United Nations: Israel should be sanctioned
A United Nations official, declaring that the policy of the Zionist regime is to starve the people of Gaza, called for the immediate action of the international community to sanction this regime. |
report Mehr News, Michael Fakhri, the UN food reporter, emphasized in an interview with Al Jazeera news channel that Israel deliberately targets humanitarian aid shipments in Gaza with its missile attacks. The Israeli occupiers do not want any humanitarian aid to reach the needy people and their war to keep the people of Gaza hungry is quite evident.
Fakhri demanded the imposition of sanctions against the Zionist regime due to ignoring the approvals of the International Court of Justice.
Other UN experts also accused the Zionist regime of trying to starve the people of Gaza and asked this regime to immediately stop this policy. These reporters stated that Tel Aviv is targeting food aid shipments and civilians seeking humanitarian aid.
In this regard, Salim Owais, the regional spokesperson of UNICEF, announced that the children of Gaza pay the most for the war.
He stated that the lack of humanitarian aid reaching northern Gaza has caused the deterioration of the health conditions of children in this area.
Awais emphasized: We need urgent international action and the events that are happening in Gaza are a test of human conscience.
According to this UN official, the aid that enters the Gaza Strip is very small compared to the needs of the people of this region.
