Peru’s prime minister resigns after hiring rentiers in the government and corruption charges

According toMehr News Agency to According to Time, the Prime Minister of Peru, Alberto Otarola, resigned from his position while defending himself against corruption charges and deprived the President of this country, Dina Bularte, of one of her main allies.
Panorama TV reported over the weekend that Ottarola had an affair with a woman who had obtained government office.
This network also published an audio file of the conversation between the two. Otarola denied any wrongdoing and wrote a rebuttal on X that he had known about the existence of such an audio file for a long time. The Prime Minister of Peru wrote: I did not steal a cent from the people and no illegal contracts were registered in my government.
Otarola’s resignation came after the replacement of three ministers in Bularte’s government (Ministers of Finance, Energy and Mines). The upheaval and changes in Peru’s government come at a critical time as the country seeks to recover from a recession caused by unfavorable climate conditions and political unrest.
