reported Mehr News Agency quoted Al-Mayadeen, the Deputy Minister of Information in the Federal Government of Somalia, details of the ongoing military operation in Jubaland State against the terrorist group style=”text-align:justify”>Al-Shabaab explained.
Abdul Rahman Yusuf Al Adaleh said that during the four-day operation of the joint forces in the region Lower Juba more than 50 militants affiliated with Al-Shabaab movement were killed and about 20 others were arrested.
Sudan’s deputy minister of information did not specify the number of casualties of government forces, but claimed that many areas have been cleared of militants.
The Ministry of Defense of Somalia reported in December last year that at least 130 al-Shabaab militants were in simultaneous military operations in the states Glumdag and Jobaland were killed.
