Theresa May resigns as a member of Parliament

Theresa May, the former Prime Minister of England and former leader of the Conservative Party, today announced her decision to resign from the position of Member of Parliament (MP) in the city of Maidenhead. He has held the position for 27 years.
May wrote to the Maidenhead Advertiser: “I will continue to work hard for all my constituents until the general election… “I am committed to supporting Rishi Sunak and the government and believe that the Conservatives can win the election.”
He added: “Representing the parliament means serving the people, and I have always done my best to ensure that the needs of the local people and the region are met.”
The 67-year-old politician said he plans to focus on other work, including his work at the International Commission on Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking.
