Destruction of Balfour’s painting by a supporter of Palestine in England
One of the British supporters of Palestine destroyed and tore the painting of the foreign minister of this country, who supported the establishment of a state for the Jews. |
An activist destroyed a picture of the former British Foreign Secretary Arthur Balfour at Trinity College, affiliated to the University of Cambridge, located in the city of Cambridge, in the east of England.
According to Al-Mayadeen report, yesterday Friday, Palestinian groups published on social media scenes of an English activist tearing up a picture of Arthur Balfour after splashing red paint on it.
Remembering that the Balfour Declaration in 1917 caused the Palestinians to lose their country and land, this group announced: they did this to emphasize the historical and current role of England in the occupation of Palestine.
Balfour is considered the father of the Balfour Declaration, a document issued in 1917 that committed to the creation of a national homeland for the Jews in Palestine.
England has seen continuous demonstrations since October 7 in protest against the Zionist regime’s aggression against Gaza and the country’s refusal to support it.
