Gunmen took 250 students hostage in a school in Nigeria

The president of Nigeria sent military forces to rescue more than 250 students held hostage in a school in this country.

According to Webangah News quoted by Mehr News Agency, citing TRT, following the attack of armed men on a school in Shemadel, western Nigeria, and the hostage taking of over 250 students, the president of this country, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, ordered the deployment of military forces. .

Tinubu said in a statement issuing orders to the Nigerian Armed Forces: I have received the report of two incidents and I am sure that the victims will be saved. Nothing other than rescuing the hostages is acceptable to me and justice will be executed decisively.

The attack and hostage taking in Kaduna state in Nigeria is the second mass kidnapping in a week in the most populous African country.

The local authorities have confirmed the kidnapping in this state, but have refused to provide the exact statistics of the hostages. Also, according to the residents of the area, at least one person was killed during this attack.
