American official: Macron seeks to involve Washington and Moscow
According to the former American intelligence officer, Macron's provocative statements about the possible deployment of Western forces to Ukraine are only to draw Washington into a direct conflict with Moscow. |
Scott Ritter, a former intelligence officer of the United States, provoked French President Emmanuel Macron’s statements about the possible deployment of Western troops to Ukraine only to bring the United States into direct conflict with Russia.
This official emphasized: “This is his stupid game. First, France does not have enough military forces to deploy in Ukraine. Therefore, France needs the help of other NATO countries that are willing to send troops.”
Ritter believes that France is trying to create a trap for America so that Washington is forced to come to the aid of its allies in the NATO bloc. He called the situation in which France is pushing America into conflict with Russia unacceptable.
Senator Alexei Pushkov had previously advised Emmanuel Macron to think about the consequences of sending Western troops to Ukraine. He gave the same advice to Radoslaw Sikorski, head of the Polish diplomatic service.
