Armenia’s Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said about the country’s desire to join the European Union: “We are discussing many new opportunities in Armenia, and this includes membership in the European Union.”
According to Reuters, the Armenian Foreign Minister continued: “No one can be sure [of Armenia’s EU membership] and no one can predict the end of this process.”
The Prime Minister of Armenia has increased relations with Europe and America since coming to power.
Meanwhile, Yerevan has not had good relations with Russia since last year. The Prime Minister of this country has suspended Armenia’s participation in the Collective Security Treaty Organization and also accuses Russia of not adhering to its commitments to the Karabakh region.
