The martyrdom of an infant and a young woman in Gaza due to starvation

The death of an infant and a 20-year-old woman in Gaza brought the number of people dying of starvation in the besieged area to 25.

The Ministry of Health of Gaza announced that a two-month-old baby died due to malnutrition and dehydration at Kamal Adwan hospital in northern Gaza.

According to Al-Jazeera, a 20-year-old woman also died in Al-Shafa hospital due to starvation.

Gaza’s health ministry said the rise in deaths from malnutrition and dehydration was “extremely alarming” and “confirmed that famine in northern Gaza has reached deadly levels.”

It is worth noting that the number of casualties announced as 25 people only represents the cases that were brought to the hospitals and many other people died of starvation and their names were not recorded.

While UN officials have repeatedly warned about the spread of hunger in Gaza, the Zionist regime continues to prevent the arrival of aid. Statistics show that about 300,000 people in northern Gaza are surrounded by famine.

The Zionist regime is accused of genocide in the International Court of Justice, and based on the temporary ruling of this court issued in January, it is obliged to take measures to ensure the arrival of humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza, but so far they have not shown any attention to the court’s rulings. has not given.

Human Rights Watch announced in December that the Zionist regime uses starvation of civilians as a weapon of war.
