Foreign Affairs: Field victories are coming for Russia

The American media, pointing out that the Russian army is able to advance further in the front line, suggested that the position of the armed forces of Ukraine without an increase in military aid from the West and a change in Kiev’s strategy until the summer It will get worse in the future.

Foreign Affairs magazine wrote in part of a report about this: “Given Ukraine’s weakness in supplying ammunition and mobilizing more military forces, the fundamental advance of the Russian army on the front line seems very likely.”

The American media wrote that Kiev is in the same crisis that Russia experienced after the first defeats in Ukraine, but Kiev and the West, unlike Russia, could not put their military industries on standby and prepare more military equipment.

Foren Afers believes that Russia currently has “few reasons” not to continue the attacks. On the other hand, there are few areas under the control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces that are as well defended as Avdiyka. This means, Russian attacks may become easier in the future.

According to this publication, the Russians are pushing harder and trying to complete the work before the spring heat. They also take advantage of the lack of artillery ammunition and fortifications and start attacks before Ukrainian soldiers have a chance to dig trenches and take shelter.

This is a bad sign for Ukraine and its supporters. These attacks, probably, would not have been approved if the Kremlin was not sure of the possibility of its success. In other words, Russia sees more victories in the field in front of it”.

Russia’s strategy is to carry out multi-pronged attacks in order to weaken the Ukrainian armed forces. Russia’s current goals are to reach Pokrovsk in Donetsk in order to secure important road and rail transportation networks and attack Ukrainian forces near Kramatorsk and Slavyansk.

It is also possible that the Russian army will try to advance in the Zaporizhia region in order to neutralize the counterattacks of the Ukrainian armed forces in Ukhov and move closer to Kopyansk in the north.

In another part of this article, it was mentioned that Ukraine, in addition to the immediate injection of Western aid and the construction of fortifications, needs to strengthen recruitment for the army.
