The suspicious death of a Tunisian youth by the Canadian police

Meanwhile, no information about the circumstances of this incident has been published by the authorities. A local news website in Tunisia reported that Canadian police opened fire after being alerted to a fight between the Tunisian victim and the owner of the house he was renting.

This ministry asked the Canadian authorities to work as quickly as possible to determine responsibility for this tragic incident, within the framework of respect for human rights and laws. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tunisia explained that it continues to closely follow this incident and is increasing contacts with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Canada, the authorities of the province of Ontario and the police of the city to quickly determine all its circumstances.

In the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tunisia, it is stated that the preliminary information indicates that the Tunisian citizen was not in a dangerous situation that required the two policemen to fire seven bullets at him. Marwan’s (29-year-old) family confirmed that he was killed at 1 a.m. on Saturday, March 2, by two police officers in his home in Toronto under suspicious circumstances. They demanded justice for Marwan and the two police officers responsible for this act.
