report Mehr News Agency, according to Reuters, the Sudanese army announced its conditions for a ceasefire in Ramadan.
Yasser al-Atta, the deputy commander of the Sudanese army, announced on Monday that the army has rejected a ceasefire during the holy month of Ramadan, unless rapid support forces, civilian locations and leave the public.
The Sudanese military said in a statement that there will be no ceasefire during Ramadan unless the support forces quickly fulfill their commitment in last May’s talks brokered by Saudi Arabia. and America to act in Jeddah and withdraw from civilian homes and public facilities.
This statement was published after the request of the UN Security Council to establish a ceasefire in the month of Ramadan.
Sudan’s Rapid Support Forces announced that they welcome the ceasefire call.
The United Nations World Food Program recently announced in a report that currently nearly 18 million people in Sudan is facing acute hunger, 5 million of whom are at the emergency level of hunger.
WFP report states that this international organization is currently able to provide regular food aid. It is only one out of every 10 people who face emergency hunger in Sudan.
