Maghreb sent help to the people of Gaza with an umbrella

Maghreb local media announced that this country has joined the group of 6 countries that have been sending aid to the people of Gaza with umbrellas since last week.

According to local media reports, Maghreb participated in sending humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip through 6 military planes.

Maghrebi Hespers website reported that Rabat, in coordination with the Zionist regime, sent 6 military helicopters full of relief aid to Gaza. This website quoted a source in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Zionist regime and added: Rabat informed Tel Aviv of its intention to send humanitarian aid planes to the north of the Gaza Strip, which was agreed to.

For more than a week, 6 Arab countries, namely Egypt, UAE, Jordan, Qatar, Oman and Bahrain, have been sending humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza by air and by sending umbrellas. It is the first time that Morocco has participated in this operation.

Saeed al-Sadiqi, a professor of international relations at Sidi Muhammad Bin Abdullah University, told Anatolia news agency: “With Morocco’s participation in sending aid to the residents of the Gaza Strip, this country confirmed the continuation of its traditional approach in providing support and assistance to the people of Gaza.” Maghreb’s participation confirms that it will separate the relations that Rabat started with Israel under the supervision of the United States with its principled and historical positions in support of the Palestinian people.

In 2022, Morocco and the Zionist regime normalized their diplomatic relations through the mediation of the United States. But this was an action that the masses of people and political forces in this country expressed their opposition to. However, the Moroccan government did not pay attention to the protests and opposition, and following this agreement, high-ranking officials of the Zionist regime visited Rabat, which ended with the start of the Gaza war.

As a result of the war and Israel’s restrictions, the residents of Gaza, especially the Gaza provinces and the northern provinces, are on the brink of famine with severe shortages of food, water, medicine and fuel, and about two million Palestinians from the strip that has been under siege for 17 years. They were displaced by the Zionist regime.

Since October 7, 2023, the occupying forces of the Zionist regime have launched a devastating war in the Gaza Strip, which, in addition to an unprecedented humanitarian disaster and widespread destruction of infrastructure, has left tens of thousands of civilian victims, most of whom are children and women. .
