UN members do not have a coherent view of Afghanistan
The head of Afghanistan's delegation to the United Nations stated that the members of the United Nations have different opinions about Afghanistan and there is no coherent view among them. |
According to the regional office of Tasnim News Agency, “Nasir Ahmad Faiq, head of Afghanistan’s delegation to the United Nations, said that the existence of differences of opinion among the members of the United Nations regarding Afghanistan and the lack of a coherent political view among them caused the efforts of this organization to fail.
He emphasized that until coordination is established between the members of the United Nations, the performance of this institution will continue to face problems. He clarified: “Unfortunately, the functioning of the United Nations will face problems until the member countries do not provide the necessary cooperation and support to the mission and activities of the United Nations, the same is the case with the issue of Afghanistan”.
This is while the United Nations held three meetings about Afghanistan in less than a month.
On the other hand, the Taliban government insists that when the elected representative of Afghanistan’s ruling body is not allowed to participate in international meetings, holding meetings will not be fruitful.
“Zabihullah Mujahid”, the spokesman of the Taliban government, has also recently said: “Such meetings that are not approved by the Afghan government and are not attended are detrimental to the participants and reduce its impact or It reaches zero”.
