Controversy created by Ben Ghafir with the beginning of Ramadan

Ben Ghafir, the Minister of Internal Security of the Zionist regime, announced his intention to go to Al-Aqsa Mosque during the holy month of Ramadan.

The Zionist newspaper Haaretz revealed that Itamar Ben Ghafir, the Minister of Internal Security of the occupying government, plans to make a provocative visit to the police headquarters of this regime near the Shining Wall in the occupied Old City of Quds. This is a provocative action that takes place in the midst of warnings about the escalation of tensions in Jerusalem coinciding with the month of Ramadan.

According to what the local media reported, the occupying police are preparing to meet with Ben Ghafir amid fears that the authorities will increase the intensity of violence in dealing with the Palestinians or attack the courtyard of Al-Aqsa Mosque.

This Zionist newspaper announced: In the framework of field preparations, large police forces, including special forces and “Imam” forces, are stationed at the Maghribi Gate to move to Al-Aqsa courts if ordered in this regard.

On the other hand, an occupying police official told this newspaper: Ben Ghafir has no influence on the decision to attack al-Aqsa and will not interfere in any operational decision. We do not intend to inflame the situation.

This official emphasized that only the regional commander will make a decision based on the assessment of the situation (security in case of possible encroachments). He claimed: We will not attack Al-Aqsa courtyards for every waving of the Palestinian flag or raising a picture of Sanwar. There are hundreds of thousands of people who want to go to Al-Aqsa Mosque and this is a legitimate thing.

Before this, the occupying Zionist authorities had announced the cessation of the influx of settlers to the Al-Aqsa Mosque until the end of Ramadan and the ban on the visit of Zionists and tourists to the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem until the end of the holy month.
