The complaint of non-governmental organizations in Denmark to stop the export of weapons to Tel Aviv
A number of non-governmental organizations in Denmark filed a complaint to the court and demanded to stop the export of arms to the Zionist regime. |
During its five-month operation in the Gaza Strip, the Zionist regime has shown such brutality that even many western countries that support Tel Aviv have been forced to express concern about the current situation. Meanwhile, non-governmental organizations play an active role in the field of social awareness.
According to Al Jazeera, several non-governmental organizations in Denmark sued the police and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of this country in order to stop the export of arms to the Zionist regime.
According to the media, non-governmental organizations including Oxfam Denmark, Amnesty International Denmark, Palestine Human Rights Organization Al-Haq, and the Danish Action Group are among the four organizations that filed this complaint in court.
The joint statement of these popular institutions states: There is a clear danger that the military weapons sent by Denmark to Israel will be used for killing and serious crimes against Palestinian civilians.
The statement adds: If this happens, Denmark will be in violation of international arms trade laws and at risk of complicity in violations of international humanitarian law, including war crimes and possibly genocide.
This complaint is still in the preliminary stages and it is not clear how the handling of this matter will proceed.
