Al-Sisi’s phone call with Bashar Assad

The President of Egypt congratulated Bashar al-Assad on the arrival of the holy month of Ramadan.

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi made several phone calls on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, the first of which was with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

According to SANA, Ahmed Fahmy, the official spokesman of the Egyptian presidency, announced that the presidents of Egypt and Syria congratulated each other on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, and the Egyptian president wished the Syrian people well, security and stability. The people, and God Almighty will protect the Arab and Islamic nations from all harm, and the president also paid his respects.

Last year, after 12 years, the Syrian Foreign Minister traveled to Egypt to discuss the re-establishment of bilateral relations with his Egyptian counterpart. The Egyptian Foreign Minister visited Damascus on February 27, 2023 and conveyed the message of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

Al-Sisi and Algerian President Abdel-Majid Taboun expressed their best congratulations on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan and asked the Almighty God to accept their good deeds and generosity for the brotherly nations of Egypt and Algeria and the rest of the Arab and Islamic nations.

Al-Sisi, in a phone call with Lt. Gen. Abdul Fattah al-Barhan, head of Sudan’s transitional government council, congratulated him on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan and asked God Almighty to accept good deeds and continue ties.
