Qatar: We will use any measure to reach an agreement between Hamas and Israel

Qatar's Foreign Ministry emphasized Doha's efforts to reach a peace agreement between Tel Aviv and Hamas.

Hamas is one of the Palestinian movements that was formed in the 1980s with the thinking of the Muslim Brotherhood. From there, Qatar has close relations with the Muslim Brotherhood organization in the West Asia, and Doha hosts the political office of this movement. This has made Qatar one of the most important mediators to end the Gaza war since October 7th.

According to Al-Jazeera, Majid Al-Ansari, the spokesman of Qatar’s Foreign Ministry, announced today (Tuesday) that Doha will take all necessary measures to reach an agreement between Hamas and Israel.

He pointed out in the weekly meeting with the media: Regarding the talks about the pressure on Hamas, Qatar, as a mediator, is only exchanging views and opinions between the two sides. We use all the tools at our disposal to bring the views of both sides closer.

He pointed out: Our goal as an honest mediator in this situation is not to put pressure on Hamas, because we are against such an approach. I believe that Qatar is interacting positively and constructively with both sides of the story. We hope to find a solution for the agreement of both parties.

Earlier, Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of the Zionist regime and other Zionist officials had called for increasing the pressure of the US on Qatar in order for Doha to use its influence on Hamas to facilitate the release of the Zionist prisoners.

However, the Doha authorities always emphasize that Qatar is a neutral mediator and is only responsible for transferring the views and opinions of the two sides to each other.
