According to the regional office of Tasnim news agency, “Bakhtiar Foreign Minister Saidov of Uzbekistan met and talked with Prime Minister Mohammad Hassan Akhund, Economic Deputy Prime Minister Abdul Ghani Baradar and some other officials of the Afghan ruling body.
In this meeting, Saidov stated, “The President of Uzbekistan always emphasizes the good and brotherly relations between Uzbekistan and Afghanistan and believes that Afghanistan should not be left alone”.
He added Uzbekistan wants to invest in the construction of a cement factory, coal mining and a 200 megawatt coal-fired power project. He is going to travel to Afghanistan soon to inspect the progress of the “Afghan-Trans” railway.
“Esmatullah Irgashov”, the special representative of the President of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan affairs, had previously stated that the Taliban is a reality that must be accepted by emphasizing the interaction with the Afghan ruling body.
“Abdul Salam Hanafi”, the administrative deputy of the prime minister of the Taliban government, also stated in a separate meeting with the foreign minister of Uzbekistan: “We are working to implement transit projects, especially Casa Hazar, TAPI, and the Afghan-Trans railway project that connects Central Asia connects to South Asia through Afghanistan, we are trying.” in Uzbekistan.
