12 million cyber attacks on the Russian Election Commission

The Central Election Commission of Russia announced that so far the website of the Election Commission has been exposed to more than 12 million cyber attacks.

According to Al-Nashrah report, voting in the Russian presidential election is scheduled to be held on March 17, and voting will continue for three days.

Maria Zakharova, the spokeswoman of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, announced yesterday that the country is monitoring more efforts to interfere in the organization and normal process of elections inside and outside the country.

He announced that this ministry is monitoring the efforts of unfriendly countries to influence the situation inside Russia regarding the current elections.

Furthermore, according to Zakharova, the Russian Foreign Ministry has registered hostile efforts to complicate the opportunity for Russians to participate in the vote, but Moscow insists that despite all efforts to interfere in Russia’s internal affairs, a full vote for Russian citizens abroad will be guaranteed.
