In another part of his speech, the head of Hizb-e-Islami criticized the ban on girls’ education and said that learning science, without exception, is obligatory for men and women.
He stated: Science, like prayer, is obligatory for men and women that they should learn. If someone makes a difference in this, he is definitely wrong. This separation is his personal opinion and has no rational or religious justification.
Hakmatyar makes these statements while in mid-January he asked the Taliban to hand over the ministries of education and higher education to his party .
