Burrell: Israel is massacring the people of Gaza

The European Union foreign policy official, who recently accused the Zionist regime of using "starvation as a weapon" in the Gaza war, warned that this regime is massacring the people of Gaza.

In a conversation with the American PBS network, Josep Burrell talked about the change in public opinion towards the Gaza war and the decrease in global support for the Zionist regime and added: “More people are worried about what I I can certainly call it a massacre. About 30 thousand civilians have been killed and this figure is very high.

The European Union foreign policy official said: We in the European Union have defined priorities (about the Palestinian issue). One of the priorities is to seek a two-state solution and give the Palestinians the right to have their own land and state. Of course, we would prefer (in Israel) to have a leadership that is compatible with this approach.

In response to the question that “it seems that you don’t think that Benjamin Netanyahu is compatible with this approach”, he stated: Netanyahu says that he is the strongest opponent of this solution.

Israel prevents the arrival of aid by controlling the borders

In the continuation of this interview, Borrell addressed the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and emphasized that the Zionist regime uses hunger as a weapon in war.

He continued: “Hundreds of thousands of people are literally dying of hunger, including many children who died from malnutrition.”
By raising the question why there is hunger in Gaza, Burrell explained: because not enough relief aid enters Gaza and Israel has prevented it by controlling the borders; So the conclusion (that Israel uses starvation as a weapon of war) makes sense, doesn’t it? You prevent humanitarian aid from coming and people die of hunger, isn’t that a logical cause and effect?

The European Union foreign policy official rejected the claim of the Zionist regime about blaming the UN agencies for the transfer of aid to Gaza and said: There is a lot of evidence that border controls prevent aid from entering. I don’t think Israel can say that it does everything to support the arrival of aid to Gaza.

The humanitarian conditions of the Gaza Strip are extremely critical in the shadow of the continuation of the Zionist regime’s war with the complicity of some Western countries, including the United States and England, and Tel Aviv does not allow aid to enter this region.

In the last 2 weeks, some Arab and Western countries have sent small amounts of aid to the people of the Gaza Strip, especially in the north, by air, which does not meet the widespread needs of the people.

This is while the Palestinians and their supporters consider the sending of this air aid as an insult to the Palestinian people and emphasize the need to put pressure on the Zionist regime to reopen the land crossings of the Gaza Strip.

Until now, the efforts of the UN Security Council to stop the aggression of the Zionist regime against the residents of the Gaza Strip, which began on October 7th of last year (October 15th), have failed due to the full support of the United States and its use of the veto privilege.

The Zionist regime, with the full support of the West and to retaliate against the surprise attacks of the resistance forces, has launched a massive massacre in Gaza. This regime has closed all crossings in the Gaza Strip and is bombarding this area. According to reports, more than 31 thousand Palestinians have been martyred and more than 72 thousand others have been injured.
