The number of malnourished children in northern Gaza has doubled

reported by Mehr News Agency, citing Al-Mayadin, UNICEF announced that the severe malnutrition of Palestinian children in the northern Gaza Strip has worsened in just one month.

This report states: 31 percent or one out of three children under 2 years of age in the northern Gaza Strip suffer from severe malnutrition. This is despite the fact that the mentioned figure was 15% last month.

UNICEF stressed: The process of spreading severe malnutrition among Palestinian children in the Gaza Strip has accelerated and reached an unprecedented level in this area.

Katherine Russell, Executive Director of UNICEF, said: “The speed of malnutrition in the Gaza Strip is shocking.” The situation of children in this area is getting worse every day.
