Zakharova: The West will do everything to disrupt the Russian elections

report Mehr News Agency, citing Tass, the spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry criticized the interventionist approach of the West towards this country’s elections.
Maria Zakharova, the spokeswoman of the Russian Foreign Ministry, announced on Saturday that Moscow’s western opposition actively tried to disrupt the Russian presidential election last year.

The spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry emphasized that the Russian opposition started to act not just a week or a month ago. During the last year, they did everything to either disrupt the presidential election or prevent it from being held or distort the image of the election in various ways.
The senior Russian diplomat added that the West has organized false information campaigns and infiltration in the cyber domain for this purpose.
According to Zakharova, these measures range from the publication of relevant content to the blocking of programs of Russian organizations on digital operating systems.
The Russian presidential election started yesterday and will continue for three days.
