Jagan Chapagin, head of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, says the people of Gaza are facing an “unprecedented level” of suffering.
According to Al Jazeera, he said in a statement on the X social network: “The health care situation in Gaza is on the verge of collapse and the hospitals are facing desperate conditions.”
This Red Cross official also said: “The growing food crisis aggravates the dire situation in Gaza; So that countless people do not have anything to break their fast in Ramadan.
UNRWA announced today (Saturday) that malnutrition among children in Gaza is spreading rapidly and has reached an “unprecedented” level.
This food crisis has been created as a result of the severe blockade and also the Israeli airstrikes, which have destroyed food infrastructure such as bakeries and factories producing flour and essential materials.
