Niger's government spokesman announced that the country has canceled the military agreement with the United States.

According to the Russian Sputnik news agency, Amadou Abdurrahman, the spokesman of the Niger government, announced in a statement that this country signed a military agreement with the United States, which allowed the country to have a military presence on the territory of Niger. , has canceled.

The statement of the spokesman of the government of Niger states: The government of Niger, taking into account the wishes and interests of the people and in line with fulfilling its responsibilities, decided to cancel the agreement regarding the presence of American military personnel and civilian employees of the Ministry of Defense of this country in the territory of Niger. and invalidate it.

Abdul Rahman, stating that the US military presence is illegal and violates all constitutional and democratic laws, emphasized that the canceled agreement was unfair and was unilaterally imposed by the US on July 6, 2012.

America had deployed about a thousand soldiers in Niger under the pretext of fighting terrorist organizations.

At the end of last year, the government of Niger also canceled military cooperation agreements with France and forced this country to withdraw its forces from Niger on December 22 last year.

On the 4th of August this year, Niger’s presidential guard forces detained the president of this country, Mohammad Bazoum, inside the presidential palace, and then removed him from his position.
