– International News – Reza Amiri Moghadam, the ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Pakistan today, Sunday, March 27, met with Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, the Speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan.

Iran emphasized on using the parliament’s capacity to help develop bilateral cooperation with Iran, especially in the economic field, and said: “The gas pipeline from Iran is very important to meet Pakistan’s energy needs.

Iran’s ambassador also expressed his satisfaction with the successful holding of the recent elections in Pakistan and the formation of a new government, and announced Iran’s readiness to activate parliamentary friendship groups and cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries.

Amiri Moghadam also considered the upcoming visit of Ayatollah Seyed Ebrahim Raisi, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Pakistan as important to help strengthen bilateral cooperation in the commercial and economic fields.

Subjects such as parliamentary cooperation, exchange of parliamentary delegations, cooperation in the field of energy, synergy to support the people of Palestine and Gaza were also discussed in this meeting.
