The departure of the main US warships from the Mediterranean Sea
The Pentagon announced that the country's main warships, which were stationed in the Mediterranean Sea to support the Zionist regime, are leaving the Mediterranean. |
The Pentagon has withdrawn all of its major warships, including aircraft carriers, from the Mediterranean Sea. This is an action that some interpreted as the withdrawal of America from a dream centered on resistance in the region and the non-expansion of war.
According to al-Quds al-Arabi report, since the war broke out after the Al-Aqsa storm on October 7, the Pentagon has deployed two aircraft carriers in the region. Eisenhower’s ship was stationed in the Arabian Sea, Gerald Ford’s ship was stationed in the eastern Mediterranean. The purpose of these warships was to supply weapons to the Zionist regime for war.
After Gerald Ford left the Eastern Mediterranean, the Bataan ship sailed to this area from the Red Sea. This ship participated in maneuvers in the Persian Gulf at the beginning of last October, and after October 16, as part of the policy of supporting the Zionist regime, it moved to the Red Sea and then to the coast of Lebanon.
This ship includes 2,200 marines known as Group 26A, who carry out the tasks of land intervention in critical areas and maritime operations, including the protection of ships. That is why this ship has helicopters to carry soldiers.
Practically, since the establishment of this unit in 1970, it has participated in most of the military attacks of the United States, such as in Yugoslavia and Iraq, or the evacuation of Americans from conflict areas, and it is believed that some of its members participated in the Gaza war.
