Bazalel Smotrich, the Minister of Finance of the Zionist regime, instead of negotiating, threatened to assassinate Ismail Haniyeh, the head of the political office of Hamas in Qatar.
According to Al-Khalij Online report, Smotrich said in an interview with Israel’s Channel 13 that Mossad chief David Barnia should go to Qatar to assassinate Haniyeh and not to talk to him.
On Saturday, Smotrich asked Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to prevent the regime’s delegation from going to participate in the ceasefire negotiations and exchange of prisoners with Hamas in Qatar.
Earlier, The Times of Israel announced that Smotrich asked the Prime Minister that the Zionist army enter the city of Rafah in southern Gaza and increase the military pressure on the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip until the Hamas movement is destroyed.
Despite the fact that Hamas had presented a detailed proposal to the mediators of Egypt and Qatar to achieve a ceasefire and exchange of prisoners in 3 stages. Tel Aviv described the proposal as unrealistic, but decided to send a delegation to Doha to negotiate the agreement.
Before this, Eli Cohen, the foreign minister at the time of the Zionist regime, threatened to assassinate Ismail Haniyeh and Khalid Meshaal, the leader of this movement abroad, and claimed that they will not die a natural death.
