Iran’s human rights monitoring mechanism is unjustified and lacks any legitimate, just and justified basis, it is inherently political and biased, and it has the opposite effect by being hostile to Iran and spreading negative stereotypes about my country. We regret that the mandate holder, a British citizen, has been required to act as the pen holder to justify the mandate imposed on the Council by the UK government and other stakeholders.
