Charles Michel: Europe must prepare for war

In an article published in European newspapers and on the Euractiv website, Michel writes, Europe must strengthen its defense capabilities and change to a “war economy” in response to the Russian threat.

This European official emphasized: Europe must accept responsibility for its own security. He added: “If the European Union does not respond properly and does not support Ukraine enough to stop Russia, we will be next.” We must be ready for defense and go to the “war economy” mode. If we want peace, we must prepare for war.”

European Union member states have recently made various requests regarding the need to prepare for war due to the prolongation of the war in Ukraine.

In this regard, the Minister of Defense of Germany emphasized the need to prepare for an imminent war.
