Sputnik news agency on the “X” social network, quoting Biden’s latest gaffe, wrote that Norway was one of the founding members of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization in 1949.
“Joe Biden” said last night (March 29) during an election speech in the state of Nevada: NATO and its borders expanded with the membership of Sweden and Norway.
After the Russian attack on Ukraine, Sweden and Finland wanted to join NATO. Finland became a member of this military pact in April last year.
Hungary was the last member of the North Atlantic military alliance that resisted Sweden’s request to join it; A process that required the support of all members of this coalition.
Finally, on February 26, 2024 (7th of Esfand), Hungarian legislators voted in favor of Sweden’s membership in NATO.
