, the German police announced that they arrested two Afghan nationals on the charge of planning an attack on the police and ordinary people near the Swedish Parliament.
Police The Federal Criminal Court of Germany published a notice in “X” and wrote that the Federal Prosecutor’s Office of this country has arrested Ibrahim and Ramin, Afghan nationals, based on a court order from the city of Gara in the state of Thuringia.
The police added that Ibrahim is accused of being a member of and supporting ISIS, and Ramin is also accused of supporting this terrorist group.
According to the police announcement, these two Afghan nationals have been ideological supporters of ISIS since 2023, and Ibrahim joined the Khorasan branch of ISIS in Germany in August.
The notice adds that ISIS had assigned Ibrahim a mission in the summer of 2023 to carry out an attack in Europe, and Ibrahim, in cooperation with Ramin, planned to kill police officers and other people with firearms in the grounds of the Swedish Parliament in Stockholm.
