The first visit of the NATO military delegation to Kiev
The senior official of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) met and talked with the military and political officials of this country during his trip to Kiev, the capital of Ukraine. |
Rob Bauer, head of NATO’s military committee, said on Thursday during a visit to Kiev, the capital of Ukraine, that Ukraine’s allies should not be too pessimistic about the country’s ability to push back Russian forces. He demanded the quick delivery of aid packages to this country.
In the first official visit of a NATO military delegation to Kiev, Bauer said: “Ukraine is facing a shortage of ammunition and manpower on the eastern front, and Russian forces are still advancing.”
He added: “Ukraine needs more support in the current situation. Time in Ukraine is not measured in days, weeks or months, but in human lives. In the United States, a week is a week, but in Ukraine, hundreds of people die during this week.”
During his trip to Kiev, Bauer met and talked with Alexander Sirsky, the commander of the army, and Dmytro Koleh, the foreign minister of Ukraine. By publishing a message on Facebook, Sirsky wrote that the focus of his conversation with Bauer was on equipment, ammunition and air defense.
