Al-Mayadeen: Gaza ceasefire negotiations in Qatar have not led to new results
A senior resistance official told Lebanon's al-Mayadeen network that Doha, Qatar's talks on the Gaza ceasefire did not lead to new results. |
Al-Mayadeen reported, a high-ranking official in the resistance told this network that the negotiations in Doha did not lead to anything new.
The official, whose name was not mentioned, said: The Israeli side specified the return of the refugees in groups including women, children and old men, which Hamas rejected.
According to this report, the Zionist regime did not give any answer regarding the ceasefire or withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, and there was no talk about the prisoners requested by Hamas.
Earlier, the Zionist newspaper “Haaretz” reported that the delegation of the Zionist regime headed by “David Barnia”, the head of this regime’s spy agency (Mossad), is going to go to Doha, the capital of Qatar, on Friday to continue negotiations on the agreement with Hamas.
On the other hand, Channel 12 of the Zionist regime reported that Ronin Bar, head of Shabak, has threatened that he will not go to Doha if more powers are not given to the Israeli negotiating team.
According to this report, the war cabinet and senior Israeli military officials pressured Benjamin Netanyahu to agree to increase the powers of the Israeli negotiating team in Doha.
The Palestinian resistance groups started a surprising operation called “Al-Aqsa Storm” from Gaza (southern Palestine) against the positions of the Israeli regime on October 15, 2023, which finally ended on December 3, 1402, after 45 days of fighting. On November 24, 2023, a four-day temporary truce was established between Israel and Hamas, or a pause for the exchange of prisoners between Hamas and Israel.
This pause in the war continued for seven days and finally on the morning of Friday, December 10, 2023, the temporary ceasefire ended and the Israeli regime resumed attacks on Gaza. In order to retaliate for the surprise attacks of the “Al-Aqsa storm” and to compensate for its failure and stop the resistance operations, this regime has closed all the crossings of the Gaza Strip and is bombarding this area.
